I am a researcher working at the intersection of Information Science and New Media, affiliated with the Information Media Lab (InfoMedia) at the Federal University of Paraná and the Digital Media and Interaction Research Centre (DigiMedia) at the University of Aveiro. My academic trajectory has developed across Brazil and Portugal, where I completed doctoral research in Information Management and New Media.
I completed my undergraduate studies in Business Administration at Faculdades Borges de Mendonça, where my early work focused on marketing and organizational relationships in retail contexts. I later pursued postgraduate training in Strategic Business Management and Consulting, followed by a specialization in Human Resources and People Management.
My academic path shifted toward Information Science during my master’s studies in Information Management at the Federal University of Paraná, including a research mobility period at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. My master’s research examined digital influencers, social media, and informational behavior in luxury fashion contexts on Instagram, under the supervision of Dr. Rodrigo Eduardo Botelho-Francisco and Dr. Helena Silva.
My doctoral work focused on social media platforms, digital vulnerability, and algorithmic aesthetics, and included the development and psychometric validation of a Digital Vulnerability Scale for Instagram users. Throughout my training, I engaged with interdisciplinary approaches that bridge Information Science, Communication Studies, and Cyberpsychology.
My research practice is shaped by methodological pluralism, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches, and by collaborations within interdisciplinary research groups dedicated to digital media, platform studies, and information management. I am particularly interested in building conceptual and methodological tools to study platform-mediated environments and digital cultures.
I collaborate on research projects on social media, digital culture, and platform governance, and I am engaged in academic networks that connect research communities across Brazil and Europe.
